Gerard Casey Appointed as New CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland

We are delighted to announce that Gerard Casey has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, based in Dublin. He will report directly to Mark Kaplan, Chief Operating Officer. Gerard joined the firm in 2020 and previously served as Director of Sales, where he was responsible for client- and market-facing teams in Ireland. Gerard steps into the role previously held by Ronan Reid, our tenured CEO in Ireland. Ronan will transition to a senior ambassadorial role for Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland. This strategic role will focus on client outreach and exploring potential acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. Additionally, he will serve as a non-executive Director on our Board of Directors Ireland.

Mark Kaplan, Global Chief Operating Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald, commented on today’s announcement, “Ronan’s unwavering leadership has been instrumental in building our businesses in Ireland. During his time at Cantor, Ronan leveraged his expertise to help achieve many of our strategic initiatives and help drive growth. We look forward to the continued expansion of our Wealth & Asset Management, Fixed Income, and Corporate Finance businesses in Ireland and are poised to achieve significant growth in the years ahead under Gerard’s leadership.”

Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Gerard held a prominent position as a senior leader at RBC Capital Markets in Europe. He previously spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs during which he occupied various roles in trading and leadership capacities and spent three years at Lehman Brothers as an Equity Trader. He earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin.
