  • Markets enjoyed some reprieve yesterday with European indices closing only modestly lower, whilst US markets paired earlier losses to close broadly flat on the day.
  • Micheal O’Leary announced in an interview yesterday that Ryanair may need to use lower fares to stimulate demand heading into the Winter months, highlighting provincial markets like Edinburgh and Glasgow as being particularly weak.
  • Yields on US treasuries remain firm with the 10-year briefly touching its highest level since October 2007 yesterday.
