Daily Note 26/09/2023 – Market View: Day Ahead, Macro, Stocks, Debt Markets
- It was a mixed trading session in markets yesterday with optimism that a government shutdown could be averted resulting in the main US indices ending the session modestly higher, which was in contrast to continued weakness in Europe.
- Yesterday, CRH held an investor call to mark its first day of trading on the NYSE, the shares finished firmly in the green, up over 5%.
- The bond sell off extended into its fourth week in the US, with yields on the 10-year treasuries having now touched their highest level since 2007 as investors continue to focus on a longer period of higher rates.
