Daily Note 03/07/2024 – Market View: Day Ahead, Macro, Stocks, Debt Markets

  • Macro: It was a mixed session for equity markets yesterday as Europe ended in the red, whist in the US, the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both made gains. From an economic standpoint today is a busier day which includes ADP Employment data, Services and Composite PMI, ISM Services and Prices Paid, and the June FOMC minutes from the US. In Europe, we have final June Services and Composite PMI indicators for Ireland, France, German, UK and the Eurozone.
  • Stock: We have provided an update on Cairn Homes H1 trading and a potential headwind to the Irish pillar banks.
  • Debt: Core bond yields moved lower ahead of the raft of economic data out today.
