Inspiring Futures: Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland’s 2026 Summer Internship Programme

Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland’s 12 week Summer Internship Programme offers university students a unique and enriching opportunity to explore the world of finance and professional services. Running annually from late May to the end of August, this structured programme is designed to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of professionals.

Each summer, a select group of interns joins our team for a hands-on experience that blends practical learning, mentorship, and professional development. Interns are immersed in real-world projects, attend interactive workshops, and gain exposure to various departments across the firm. The programme culminates in a final presentation, where interns showcase their work to Cantor Fitzgerald employees, mentors, and invited guests.

What sets our Summer Internship Programme apart is the personalised support and collaborative environment. Interns are assigned dedicated mentors who provide guidance, feedback, and career insights throughout the summer. This close-knit structure fosters meaningful relationships, peer learning, and a strong sense of community.

Beyond technical skills, interns develop essential competencies such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Many participants leave the programme with a renewed sense of confidence, clarity about their career goals, and a valuable network of professional contacts.

At Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students are encouraged to challenge themselves, explore new possibilities, and realise their potential—whether in finance or beyond.

2025 Internship Highlights

“During my internship at Cantor, I had the opportunity to gain a well-rounded and immersive experience across multiple departments. A series of insightful talks from the CEO, COO, and employees from various teams provided a deeper understanding of the firm’s operations, culture and general pathway to success. I participated in engaging events, including a meet-and-mingle lunch, a town hall, and a summer party, which fostered a strong sense of community and networking. I attended a training outing at the Bloomberg office and had access to the Bloomberg Terminal, which helped build my technical proficiency and knowledge of markets. A structured rotation through different departments allowed me to broaden my exposure and better understand the firm’s functions. I also had the opportunity to develop and present two project pitches. Within the Corporate Finance department, I took part in high-level industry events such as talks at Mansion House, Dublin Chambers, and Rabobank. I was actively involved in ongoing projects and internal meetings—often treated as a full team member rather than an intern, which was both empowering and motivating. Cantor’s smaller team structure meant that interns were given individual placements and more direct responsibilities, allowing for a more hands-on and involved experience compared to larger firms.”
