Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland provides a full suite of investment services, primarily wealth management, fund management, debt capital markets and corporate finance. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Crime Compliance Analyst to work with our team in Dublin.

Position Overview

The Financial Crime Compliance Analyst will report to the Deputy Head of Financial Crime Compliance and support the Financial Crime Compliance Manager and Client Legal Affairs Manager. They will be
responsible for carrying out periodic testing in line with the Compliance monitoring plan. Testing will include a variety of Financial Crime Compliance activities such as AML, CFT, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery &
Corruption, Transaction Monitoring as well as some key investor protection areas under MIFID II. The Analyst will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of business stakeholders in the role
and provide Financial Crime feedback and recommendations. The Analyst will also provide Financial Crime Support to other entities within the Irish group.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Execute monitoring tasks in line with the Financial Crime Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Prepare output reports detailing observations, findings, and recommendations for review.
  • Issuance of final reports to relevant first line functions and ensure findings are remediated where needed and brought to resolution.
  • Present findings and recommendations at the quarterly monitoring meeting
  • Prepare relevant management information for periodic Committee and Board reporting.
  • Assist the Financial Crime Compliance Team in review and updating of policies and procedures.
  • Supporting other group entities with their Financial Crime programs.
  • Assist in the delivery of training programme for the first line of defence.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory responses to the Central Bank of Ireland.
  • Assist with queries escalated to the Financial Crime Compliance Team from the 1st Line.
  • Review supporting documentation for PEP and High-Risk clients.
  • Give support in Financial Crime investigations both AML & Fraud.
  • Give support to the Client Legal Affairs Function as and when required.

Requirements

 

  • Business, Financial, or legal qualification third level qualification preferable.
  • Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint skills essential.
  • Experience in Customer Due Diligence, AML and Financial Crime either in the 1st or 2nd Line preferred.
  • Experience of Compliance Monitoring / Assurance Testing preferred.
  • ACOI qualification or relevant Financial Crime qualification (or agreement to work towards same).
