Depending on your appetite for involvement and your investment objectives, we offer two styles of portfolio management through our advisory and discretionary services.

Portfolio Management

Discretionary

You prefer a professional fund manager to manage your investment decisions (within agreed parameters).
You may not have the time to manage your own investments.
You may have limited knowledge of financial markets and the associated risks involved.
You’ll be updated regularly on the performance of your investments.
You have a minimum investment account balance of €250,000.
The service is particularly suited to high-net-worth individuals, non-profit organisations, and family offices.
We also offer an integrated financial advice & lifestyle planning option.

Discretionary

Advisory

You’re comfortable with your knowledge of financial markets.
You like to retain control of your own investment decisions – the final decisions rest with you.
You’ll receive professional advice and recommendations from your broker or portfolio manager.
You’ll be updated quarterly on your portfolio’s performance, and we encourage you to monitor your investments/portfolio on an ongoing basis.

Irving Byrne

Head of Wealth Management

Irving is Head of Wealth Management and has over 23 years’ experience in financial services. He began his career as a private client dealer and trader. He then worked in Macquarie Private Wealth (Australia), where he was involved with alternative investments and investment lending to high net worth individuals. Irving joined Dolmen Stockbrokers in 2009 and was made a Director of Stockbroking. His current role involves managing and constructing portfolios for high net worth clients and organisations as well as short term trading. Irving is a Registered Stockbroker and a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).

Richard Power

Director of Wealth Management/Fund Manager GE

Richard is a Director of Wealth Management / Fund Manager GE at Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland and has over 25 years’ investment management experience.

Richard began his career with Dolmen Stockbrokers in 1999, managing equity and bond portfolios for institutions. In 2006 Richard moved to the Private Clients division and was appointed Director of Stockbroking in January 2008.

Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies and French. He is also a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).

Richard Goodbody

Director of Wealth Management

Richard is a Director of Stockbroking at Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland and has over 30 years’ investment management experience.

Richard began his career with BCP Stockbrokers which was subsequently sold to Dolmen Stockbrokers in 2003. He has worked across all areas of the Private Client division and is an avid investor in both the equity and property markets. He is a chartered certified accountant (FCCA).

Stephen Tynan

Director of Wealth Management

Stephen is a Director of Wealth Management and has over 25 year’s financial markets experience. He began his career with Dolmen Stockbrokers in 1996 and has been directly involved in the development of the Private Client division. Stephen has extensive experience in portfolio management, leveraged trading, structured investments, wealth and financial planning. He holds a degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, is a Registered Stockbroker, Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and a Certified Financial Planner Professional (CFP®).

Daniel Murphy

Director of Wealth Management

Daniel is Director of Wealth Management in Cork and has over 15 years’ investment management experience. He began his career with Dolmen Stockbrokers in 2006 and has been directly involved in the Private Clients side since 2007 and became the Head of the Cork Office in 2012.

He also holds a BA in Economics from UCC and an MBS in Business Studies from Smurfit Business College.
