- Macro: It was a quiet day in the markets with S&P 500 flat and Nasdaq up slightly. Whilst in Europe the Stoxx 600 broad index finished mostly flat, as markets appeared to take a pause following a busy results season and the volatility of last week and ahead of CPI data on Wednesday. From an economic perspective, today, is busier, with Germany reporting the August ZEW survey which will give us an insight into sentiment in Europe’s largest economy. Ireland reports July’s new vehicle sales @11.00. In the US we get the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index @ 11:00 and PPI data @13:30.
- Stock: Data from Apptopia showed that last week Alphabet’s YouTube TV grew its downloads by 29%, as the streaming service continues to grow viewership on top of the already deeply embedded video sharing platform’s standard offerings.
- Debt: Bond yields were little changed as investors took a breath.
