- Macro: The typical September gloom continued for equity markets yesterday as the Eurostoxx600, S&P500 and Nasdaq each ended in the red, as traders awaited the monthly payrolls report out of the US on Friday which should provide a guide on the state of the economy. In economic news during the day ahead, the UK construction PMI (9:30) is expected to show an expansion in August. Out of the US, weekly initial jobless claims (13:30) and August ADP employment data (13:15) may provide an early insight into tomorrow’s nonfarm payrolls release. Additionally, the ISM services index (15:00) should continue to show an expansion in activity during August.
