The relative benchmark is defined as the index on which the stock has its primary listing. For example: BMW’s relevant benchmark would be the German DAX index, Smurfit Kappa’s benchmark would be the Irish ISEQ index, Intel’s relevant index would be the US S&P 500 and GlaxoSmithKline’s relevant benchmark would be the UK FTSE 100.
